What are your plans for Easter 2012

February 20th, 2012

Thinking of coming to London this Easter? Then look out for one of the many Cheap Hotels London has to offer. With plenty to do, there are many activities planned for over two weeks that everyone can enjoy.

One of the things most commonly associated with Easter is chocolate so make sure to visit a Hotel Chocolat store where you will find freshly produced extra thick chocolate Easter eggs and the completely original Easter Egg Sandwiches.

For the more active, head to the Easter Skate Eggstravaganza which starts at 7pm on Good Friday and starts with the ‘Long Good Friday Night Skate’ which is a three hour skate past London’s most loved visitor attractions. Then there is the ‘Easter Bunny Stroll’ which is hosted on Easter Sunday and starts at 2pm. Dress up as a bunny and stroll for 8 miles around London’s West End.  Then after the skate there’s an Egg & Spoon Race held within Hyde Park. The evening fun continues at 7pm where there is even an Easter Bunny Party.

Or for the older visitor why not experience the London Harness Horse Parade. This is an annual event that takes place every Easter Monday. It is a fantastic opportunity to view the working horses such as the Friesian horses from Harrods.

All of the main London attractions have special events for children over the Easter holiday period. Some attractions may have egg hunts or decorating egg competitions. The V&A, National Gallery, Tate Modern and the British Museum are just a few of the attractions guaranteed to be filled with Easter activities.

If you are visiting with younger children make sure to experience the ‘Just So Stories’ at Pleasance Theatre, Islington between 8-25th April. Suited perfectly for children age 4+, cushions, pillows and duvets are all provided for your children to snuggle into whilst watching in awe as ordinary household items are turned into a fascinating world of magical storytelling.

With the vast array of activities and days out planned for families and groups of all ages this Easter, be sure to extend your stay and visit one of the many cheap hotels available and have an unforgettable trip.
