It is hard for me to sit here and tell you that I’ve seen too many places more impressive than Perito Moreno Glacier. The site is so impressive that I can’t believe more people don’t head to the site each year. If you are ready to be blown away by its natural power find out where to stay in El Calafate, book your flights, and head down to Argentina. At the glacier, blue ice flows rapidly down from a mountain valley and crashes down into the icy lake waters at its end. The ice stretches for miles and is one of the most active in the world. There is also the opportunity to walk directly on top of the glacier which is a must for those who haven’t tried much ice climbing or walking in their lives.
