Day 1: Cali, Colombia

As soon as you arrive in Cali, hurriedly settle in your hotel, hail a cab, and head to Zoologico de Cali. Zoologico de Cali is a nature park that has an abundance of Colombian plant and animal species. Rio Cali, a local river, runs through the park grounds and adds up to its natural scenery. There’s an admission fee of $5 but definitely worth it as you have the chance to see more than 180 different species of animals. One of the next best things to do in Cali Colombia is to retire the night at Avenida Sexta. Besides a thrilling nightlife, you can also dance salsa with the locals here. After all, this “party street” is the birthplace of salsa.
