I was surprised when my parents picked me and my sister up from high school, together. They do not normally get along so you can see why I was so surprised. But that surprise grew when I saw all the luggage in the back of the car. I was really wondering what was going on. It was not until I heard my dad mention Winter Park lodging that I figured out we were going on a ski trip. I am so excited!

September to May is the perfect time to visit the fascinating city of Marrakesh when you can avoid the stifling temperatures and crowds. As the cultural centre of Morocco it is a hive of activity. At the bustling souks you can find some colourful gifts and witness the street performers and salesman in their element. You can treat yourself to a stay in a traditional Riad and take a walk around the serene Menara Gardens with its olive, palm and fruit trees. Look out for cheap holidays staying in traditional Riad accommodation like the Riad Passion 4 Lantern with its pretty patio, communal areas and roof terrace.

The Highlands will challenge any golfer at play in many different ways. Its Hole # 5 is a par-5 of 562 yards and has a pond and a semi-rolling terrain. Many trees surround the course, making it more challenging to make shots if a player does not hit the golf ball straight. The golf course has outstanding manicured fairways and extremely fast greens. It has opened its doors to non-members as well, thus, making it available to everyone who wants to walk the fairways that Tom Watson, Arnold Palmer, Lee Trevino, Ben Hogan Sam Snead, Byron Nelson and Chi Chi Rodriguez have played on.
After playing your round, the highlands golf course offers a sumptuous meal at the Glendevon Restaurant in its Masters Dining Area or in the Donald Ross Lounge. The Highlands golf club offers affordable daily rates and also extends very creative membership choices for everyone, depending on their taste. The staff is composed of the most experienced and highly trained people in Michigan that focuses in giving the guests the service they would expect at private golf clubs. Recently, the golf course has also offered online reservations via a tee time scheduler. This is so it could accommodate all possible reservation requests that it is unable to handle through phone. Members of the club can schedule their tee times eight days in advance while non-members can do the same five days in advance. Strict dress codes are to be observed. No denims are allowed. Collard shirts and Bermuda shorts are good.
For membership, the highlands golf course offers a platinum membership for singles or couples which cost $5000 and $7500 for five years respectively. There is also a Donald Ross and Al Watrous (pre-paid) Memberships. The Ross membership offers more flexibility and a lot more savings on full and early payments, discounts and a referral program that can even pay for your membership fee. The Al Watrous membership is a pre-paid rounds membership type which is suitable to those who want to experience membership benefits for just a number of rounds. The highlands golf course membership is transferable depending on the category you have purchased. This means that if ever you will have unused years in your membership, you may transfer it to your loved ones or sell it to others.

I’ve been saving for a really big, proper, get away from it all holiday for the last 3 years, and now it is time to decide on what to do!
When I started saving I had 3 ideas in mind. A road-trip around Scandinavia and Iceland, so try and see the Northern Lights, bathe in an outdoor hot pool, jump on springy moss and also soak up some of the history and culture.
The next idea was to look at some safaris, and dare I say it, luxury safaris. This is a lifelong dream as I’ve always wanted to visit to visit Africa and see the wildlife and scenery first hand. I’ve grown up watching documentaries, so to see the real thing would be amazing.
The third idea was to go to the other side of the world and visit New Zealand and do a road trip of the whole country and then finish off with a handful of days on a beach in Fiji! I’ve always wanted to see New Zealand as it looks like the most beautiful country you could imagine, and there is so much variation within the one country (albeit 2 islands).
So I’m a little stuck! Luxury safari and New Zealand and winning at the moment, but I need to decide soon and I don’t want it to be on the toss of a coin!

I was telling my sister that I am sure that everyone who goes to Uganda always remembers the Uganda safaris they are absolutely amazing. They have different safaris packages that they can tailor to fit your group. If you or anyone you know is planning to go to Uganda please tell them to make sure they book one of the many safari trips. You will not be sorry. It’s a once in a lifetime experience not to be missed. I am not sure but I believe they have around nine different safaris available.
